In Praise of Storms

If you are on the East Coast of the U.S., you are probably sitting in your livingroom hoping like hell the house doesn't float away because of Hurricane Irene. If you are reading this, you are fortunate to have electric.  Everyone else in the world ... enjoy this Saturday's edition of "For The Love Of Pete's Fans."

Hello everyone-
I knew I was missing some photos from the night I saw TON in May 2008, so I combed my email and found that I had uploaded all the pics I took from my phone ( this place will not let you take a camera) into my email!

To my joy, I found this photo of Peter. I was front row at the fence, as you can see. Its kinda blurry because it was a phone, but you can see everything and its just such a cool photo!
I also have a photo of myself and Johnny, which I think I have shared with you before, but I also caught his autographed drum skin, which I posed with.  It was a great night!

  1. Really good recording from a mobile phone. I have seen another recording from this exact show, weird watching it from another angle. Love Peter with his priest collar and hat. Thanks for the photo Kristen, love the way the light rays are shining down on Peter...well its to be expected, he is a god.
Be safe everyone and animals. Lots of people are making Hurricane Cocktails over there so I hope someone is having a Kickapoo juice. I am also keeping my fingers crossed that Prospect Park is not badly damaged.

  2. Thanks so much Kristen and Darcie. It's funny that cameras are banned at shows but everyone's thrilled to see the photos and video later. Great job!
Looks like NYC's poised to be hit very hard by Hurricane Irene, especially Sunday evening. Urging the NYC fans and the members of the Ratajczyk family to consider padlocking away anything large of value in an attic, boarding up the windows, getting your pets, small cherished momento's, a few changes of clothing, drinks and snacks, boarding up that last door and just driving west to an inland location for a day or two if you've not already done so. A hurricane is nothing to mess with and Irene's looking mean!
If you find yourselves in need please post. We're networked nationwide. We're your fans too and yes, of course we'll help you.

  5. Hi,

I don't use blogspot so I'm not for sure how it operates.

I'd like to send a message direct to whoever runs the blog (Darcie?) instead of a public comment. I have a bunch of pictures you might be interested in but I can't find a way of sending them on here.

    Thanks a lot :)

Excellent recording from cell. Seeing Peter and the band in all their beauty...makes me emotional. I always get emotional when it comes to Peter. I'm saying prayers for everyone in East Coast for their safe keeping. Being from NY myself I know how close everyone is, family is first and foremost. Everyone above cares so deeply for you and your safe keeping. It's like an extended family now. We miss Peter every day and he will never ever be forgotten. Take care Ratajczyk family. Peter will watch over you.

that beautiful man with that long black hair, those piercing green eyes. Even though lots of songs were about doom, Peter was very much in the world. He walked into a room and he was more there than anyone. He was a force, powerful, MAN-sculine, sexy, passionate. We were lucky to have him for a short time. We miss you Peter. WE love you.

  12. I have a question for the family about some of Pete's symbols. What's up with the 13? Or should I say 13's.
