Ok. first off, thanks to all the techies out there ... I really appreciated the help you gave me.
Since Saturday posts seem to be all about the music and photography, I think we should also include Fan Artwork, Video Dedications, Poetry, Peter Dolls, etc that you'd like to share with the family and the faithful readers of this blog. I thought it could be a gift we give to each other.
Please email me at 4theloveofpetesteele at g mail. Send me your artwork and I'll include it in this blog (if it's not too lame or graphic). Plus, tell me how you'd like to be credited.
Also, if you have any amazing stories you'd like to share (with photos), we may be open to adding this component to the blog. We'll see what kind of responses we get from you all.

ReplyDeleteI.
Thank you so much for this blog! It has helped me tremendously. I can not even began to understand your pain and anguish; but may it help you to know that Peter touched a lot of lives (if he were alive he would insert dirty joke here!) and helped me through some of my darkest times through his words and music. I miss him everyday. I have a black and white photo of him that was done professionally hanging on my wall with the ticket stub of the last concert I saw. It was 10-31-2010 at Detroit. It was Type O's last show ever. I am so lucky to have seen it, though I would never miss a Type O show, not for the world . . .Peter Steele we miss you and love you always---YOUR FANS!
ReplyDeleteI will send my story of meeting Peter along with the photo to Cathy's FB inbox.. thanks :)
ReplyDeleteOh my God this picture of Peter Steele is maybe one of his best. What a sight, this man, this larger than life talent. Peter we miss you to the moon. and yes Cathy you're in Box will be flooded for sure. I have been making someting as well to send to your family. Something you will keep to remember your beautiful brother forever. ON days like today when the sky is blue and the sun is shining, I look to the heaven and I know you are there Peter. With others who have left us too soon. Much respect to your family, my prayers are with you every day.
ReplyDeleteWhoever has Peter Steele's guitars, if you play them you will feel his fingers guiding you and you will feel that connection to him. My son has his best friends guitar after he passed away, and when he plays it, he too feels that connection. Very powerful and spiritual. Peter Steele was an amazingly gifted musician who is missed beyond words. Heaven has a great man. This picture is heaven of him. What a handsome rugged guy!! Prayers to your family, we are all still missing him each day. I play him daily. Thank you Peter.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to thank you again-I know it has already been said before- but it is so incredible of you to share private memories with us the fans, we appreciate it. I always knew Peter was incredible, but these memories you choose to share with us are invaluable and give us great insight into the man. I know that your love and time together gave him as much comfort as he gave us. Thank you again for keeping his memory alive, it is as comforting to us as I hope it is to you. -Nadine
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thank you for the story about Peter and his dad. I enjoy it!!!!
That's going to be one very full inbox!
ReplyDeletePeter is so loved..I enjoy reading and looking at all the absolutely wonderful postings,pictures,artwork...Etc..Etc...
ReplyDeleteIt brings a smile to my face and warms my heart:)
That photo does show Pete in his element being the ruggedly handsome man he was. From personal experience I understand the challenges of having an attractive brother. Knowing hundreds of thousands of women were so enamoured with your uncle/brother likely bordered on the bizzare. One can only imagine how protective of his well-being you must've felt. Cudo's to all of you for looking out for him when necessary and keeping him as grounded as you did.
ReplyDeleteI would like to send you a drawing, but can`t read the right mailadress - would you please so kind to post the adress again? Thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteI don't see any information on this photo, but I have one that's almost identical to it. I took it when they played in North Carolina in the 90s. The photos are extremely similar, and I would guess that I must have been standing very close to the person who took this photo, if it is from the same show. I'll send along my photo, when I can find it. I also have a photo from several years later of him with me and my friend outside of the Trocadero in PA. He was very kind. I'll send it over to you.
